Brilliant but very selfish player (although not quite as bad as his Italian team mate).... who would you leave out of my team to accommodate him....Hirst, Chapman, Waddle or Forestieri

I’d play him wide left instead of Forestieri or go for a more skill full team and swap him for Chapman.

Understandable....choosing Sterland instead of Nilsson isn't though!

Nilsson is the one player we've had who would stand a very good chance of getting in a best ever top flight team, never mind a Wednesday XI

Identical outfield 10 as mine then.

Sure if I/we was a bit older we would have same eleven with Springett in net. Heard many times how good he was, but sadly he was before my time.

Quite possibly.

Looking through the thread, the older posters seem to favour Springett so you may well be correct.

.I told you why I prefer sterland in my team , he gives more in an attacking sense than nilsson ...the bloke scored 49 goals roly scored 2 . with springett in goal , swan & walker at the back I  want 2 attacking full backs ......the thread said your best Wednesday 11 not your best 11 Wednesday players ......

Anyone (and there are a few on here) that has picked a team that does not include ROLAND NILLSON must be mad!   (or very young)

1986 European Cup semi final 1st leg.

Watched a 22yr old Roland play in an IFK side that beat Barcelona 3-0.

Can remember thinking at the time, I wish he played for us.

same age as me and think we replicate on 6 players .....Henderson doesn't get near my team but one of the greatest entertainers I've seen down at Hillsboro ...you knew if willie was in the team you were in for some excitement .

30 years Old, first match was ‘97 vs Chelsea, we lost 1-4, should’ve given up then. RB and LB have been pretty poor for quality but I’ve gone for players that stood out at certain times, obviously Hinchcliffe would rank as a better LB than Reda I think but Reda was important to the team at his time

Westwood

Simek (before injury)

Walker

Thome

Reda

Wallace

Hutchinson

Bannan

Brunt

Carbone

Di Canio

subs

Pressman

Lees

Lee

Whelan

J.Johnson

FF

Hooper
