Boyd has to start. Two footed & ran for 90 last night.

Wildsmith

Palmer Venancio Pudil Fox Reach

Buttercup Boyd Jones

Matias Rhodes

I cant believe some on here are not playing Boyd. Thought he was superb on Tuesday, especially so soon after injury.

If we're going with two up top the blend has to be right.

Up top

I'd go with a Nuhiu/Joao front pairing.

                                     Wildsmith

             O'Grady           Venâncio          Pudil

Hunt                               Jones                                   Fox

                       Boyd                        Reach

                            Joao                 Nuhiu

Midfield

Jones has looked a different player since Jos arrived.  He'd stay in.

Boyd and Reach to supply the legs and cover the ground.

Defence

I'd put Venâncio in the middle of the three. Likes heading it and booting it.

Plus O'Grady looks a bit livelier covering ground which is vital in the wider centre back roles.

To say we have so many out...I quite like the look of that side.

Left wing back is probably the one area where I would be a tad worried.

Could put Reach there but he's looked good in the middle and I think should stay there.  Certainly till Bannan is back for that left/centre role.

But FOX Snooty sorry mate that halo I put over your head on team matters is slipping to the floor. Get Clare in ...mobility, ability to pick a pass, and currently in great form even in the pub league, which incidentally is where Fox should be imo.

Thornily not in any of these teams in place of O'Grady even though he's the one with league experience. I'm expecting a back 4 but if we go 3 is he not a safer bet?

Was in mine. was on bench for derby ahead of other two so would expect he has impressed in training.

I'd be tempted to go with this too - especially in defence and midfield. Fox has filled in during games more centrally and actually copes quite well.

With Hunt and Reach in the wing back positions, I'd be interested to see whether we'd get more crosses into the box, and if so then maybe there could be an argument for Rhodes' inclusion, although with Cardiff's centre backs being so dominant, I wonder whether it would just be better to go with João and Matias as they may prove to be more tricky for Morrison and Bamba.

Think Rhodes will play ahead of Nuhiu though.

You  could see the effort he was putting in, desperately wanted to score.⚽️

That's not a bad shout that Coppers old bean!

In an ideal word though. . I think we'd have another left back.

He was for the first half but quiet in the second which was simply down to fitness. Matias looked fresher and to go for longer.

Id bring Boyd on and get him back slowly don’t want to push him too quick
