I keep hearing this. And I know Turner was on about it too.

But are the training pitches not where our U23's and U18's play?

If so are they also picking up an inordinate number of injuries?

The U23's and U18's are kids so they are more resilient. The geriatrics in the first team break very easily.lol

Would imagine its a tad warmer where he is? Unless its Watford of course.

Looking at the latest pic he’s wearing gloves a neck warmer and thermals so I think it’s cold lol must just be specialist training

I think it’s now been decided we’re doing thins slowly in the getting players back department.

2 months sounds like a good amount of time for him to build up fitness and recover properly. I’d prefer this than the CC way and rush him back.

This season is gone. It’s all about prep for next. Give some of the youth and fringe a chance, make the more established favourites work to get fit and back in. Use the loan market to get a look at potential full signings in the summer.

If we do this could be a good second half of the year.

I think CC said Jan/Feb return would have been ahead of schedule anyway, so it shouldn't be too surprising, coming back from knee surgery (I think ligament related) often takes a long time. It's probably better not to rush him anyway, which Carlos may have done, as he had done so with FF and other players previously.

Why didn’t Forestieri go in for his knee operation at the end of the season in May. We all knew he was struggling.

Instead, he plays for a few games and he clearly wasn’t right and as a consequence he will miss the vast majority of this season .

Really poor management !

Is anybody else bemused as to why he's doing all his rehabilitation away from SWFC, I understand him going to a certain doctor/surgeon but surely he should be out running with the team now, especially with the arrival of Jos, surely he wants everyone learning his methods. I keep seeing Instagram pics and vids of him with his training kit on and with the ball so why not at Middlewood?

anyone know owt? Or is he just still miles off?

Let me think , Southern Europe and Mediterranean weather , or freezing his balls off at Middlewood Rd ?

Difficult choice.

Why is it bizarre?

Every other player you hear going to these various specialists don’t then spend over 3 months away from the club training on their own.

As soon as he is starting to get into light training which he clearly is as an employer I’d expect the club to be telling him to report back to Middlewod. Based on the picture of him yesterday he’s still in Madrid, he must surely still be weeks away from a return or he would be back in the UK with his team mates. If he was 4-6 weeks away from a return to the starting 11 he would be back at the club, he’s not going to rock up next week and be picked the week after is he?

I’ve just seen Jos says he’s probably out for another couple of months so it now makes sense, he’s still got a long way to go in his recovery by the sounds of it.

I think we all want him back ASAP and January was touted for his return...more like March by the sounds of it.

if jos has told you that he is still 2 months away its a big change from carlos ,not anyone in the press could get owt out of him regards injuries .remember carlos saying early December that they were looking at getting him back 3rd week in jan at middlewood road so if he is seen next Monday then we might see him in 3wks or so ,if he isn't back at middlewood road then clearly his rehab is taking longer ,

I thought the training pitches had been upgraded to a higher standard than they ever were before.

Think the problem is more to do with lack of intensive conditioning and players 'playing through the pain barrier' etc.with minor injuries.

It also seems in Kieren Lee's case he was rushed back into action very unwisely last season.

This season seems to be different with players given longer recovery before returning to the team.
