You see how you have done after each group of 5 games, the one thing you don't do, as we Owls have a habit of doing, is to count your points total before you have played the games. This week we have Burton at a similar point in the season. Last year not only were the three points from Burton long before we got to the ground but our goals total was estimated to be between 3 and 6. We got our arses kicked and deservedly so. This time around let us plan carefully drop our chauvinist attitude and return with the three points no matter how scruffy we achieve. However, for the auto's we have to get rid of the standard Wednesday problems - maximum points from teams in the bottom 3rd (which is where I suspect Burton will be) and take three points off promotion rivals. Not too worried about the start, but I expect cc to be setting us up to break teams like Burton down, and then smash and grab teams like Middlesbrough and derby. I cannot help feeling that if some of the negative posters (e.g. Grandad) can be persuaded to attend far flung away matches to support the team then surely we will get automatic promotion!
