If Carlos has taught me one thing

"...Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright
Oh, and that's alright with me

You can hide 'neath your covers and study your pain
Make crosses from your lovers, throw roses in the rain
Waste your summer praying in vain
For a savior to rise from these streets
Well now, I ain't no hero, that's understood
All the redemption I can offer, girl, is beneath this dirty hood
With a chance to make it good somehow
Hey, what else can we do now?
Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair
Well, the night's busting open, these two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back, heaven's waiting on down the tracks ... '

Springsteen? From darkness on the edge of town? ( which is another way of thinking about the filthy blunts )

Thing is you can only call things as you see them at the time.

I thought Carlos needed the full season but at the time i didn't think he was getting the best from the players and made some dodgy decisions.

But it was just a sticky patch and he seems to have addressed most issues.

There's no way to know that at the time.

I think the season could have gone either way just as easily so there no shame or glory in being wrong or right.

Exactly

At the start of April we were out of the playoffs, and it was looking like we'd run out of idea's

The Newcastle game seems to have put the fire back in everyone's belly and for the first time this season everyone actually believes that we can do it

No need for all these I told you so threads

Someone bumped a thread on here other day about Carlos needing to be sacked back when this poor run was going on, reading through it was one of the most embarrassing, cringeworthy things ever, really goes to show just how fickle we really are

No not WE, some

This may be one of the few occasions that the King James bible has been quoted on Owlstalk but this seems appropriate.

'I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Lose to a hard to beat Ipswich tomorrow then lose at home to a very good Fulham thus losing out on the playoffs, and believe me the knives will be out again sadly.

Unfortunately, even a creditable point at Ipswich likely won't be enough if we lose to Fulham.

Sorry mate don't agree.

How long exactly were we out of the playoff positions?   Blink and you'd have missed it.

I think there's every need for all these 'I told you so threads'. The level of vitriol against CC was completely & totally unjustified bearing in mind the position we were in.

Anyone who dared even take a moderate "Wait until the end of the season to judge" stance was labelled a 'Happy Clapper'.

All the extreme critics have been proved wrong (regardless of the final outcome) and i reckon they should be accountable, even if it just makes them count to ten before spouting the same garbage next time.

One thing called did not do was to bury his head in the sand. He alluded to the teams stuttering form, and gave his reasons why it was happening. He also said that the last International break, would allow the team to regroup and he promised a much better showing from that point.

He was right, and despite many calling for his head, we are as a side making progress, and the good times are not far off from returning.

It wasn't just the results, it was the performances. Some displays this year have been worse than awful, and it's been frustrating to watch,  that's why people were getting on CC's back

Hes taught me nothing bout Wednesday that I didn't already know, great club, brilliant fans.

If he takes us to the promised land of the 'Premier',he deserves the credit as does Mr C,but not as much as us Wednesday fans, cos we deserve it,whereas CC will have earned it.

come on you blue and white wizards
