When was the offside rule introduced?

..earliest rules...1863 but three players needed to be in front of the attacker...so stricter really ...

that would make a hell of a difference. the game would be completely different.... apart from huddersfield still being unbeaten

when they changed the rule in 1925 the following season there was  over 1500 more goals scored ......

Think I need to correct you here, Kivo.

Keith Farnsworth's 1982 book has quotes from both Ernest Blenkinsop and the local paper describing how the ball was punched in the direction of Alex Jackson who then scored the first goal. That was the goal about which there were all the protests leading to the referee consulting the linesman.

Nowt to do with offside!

At 1.06 you can see a Wednesday player grab an opponent round the neck and start brawling.

You could bring in a child for nothing by them hiding under your flat cap

My dad used to sneak me in under his duffel coat in the 80s.
