Why do we keep getting hung up on ages on here?

34 too old

21 too old to be still developing.

It's bloody stupid.

Like it or not, there are plenty of 34/35 year old footballers who are miles better than what we have now.

we should not be limiting our search to just young players.

And there is nothing wrong with players being slightly past their prime especially if their prime was playing at a far higher level/standard than ours.

I wonder if there are many clubs that would turn the likes of Ryan Giggs down for a years worth of work - not saying that we should go after him but just to endorse your point Prince of Wales Pub = Three Feathers....??

love google translate haha:

The attacker St-Etienne, Brandão (34), left Sheffield since Friday to negotiate with the Owls, boarder English D2. His signature is imminent.

Overview Sheffield these days, the Brazilian has not found any contractual agreement with Wednesday, but there are only a few details to finalize. Christophe Galtier, Coach Green, confirmed to local press during the friendly match against Metz on July 11 that the attacker had gone abroad to discuss with a club. If his club hoped to refourguer in an exotic championship with his princely salary (EUR 90 000 per month excluding bonuses), it is ultimately the Owls, recently acquired by Hafiz Mammadov, the owner of Lens, who were on the spot.

Under contract until June 2015, it would be surprising that Saint-Etienne demand a transfer fee. In two seasons, he will score 24 goals in 67 games. Stuart Gray, manager of Wednesday, amateur chest forward, will be served.
