Swiss Toni
I can't imagine it cost us that much to have him here and probably only payed a percentage of his wages. Still some teething problems with DJs scouting department bringing in the likes of Rodri and Pecnik.
aeroswfc
Rodri Wednesday legend Rodri's Wednesday record Apps 12 Goals 1 Thankyou and good luck Rodri.
sharrowowl
I agree. No doubt will be smashing goals in in La Liga - the Wednesday way of turning potentially good players pap! Not really fair - there's no reason he'll go back to La Liga first division and start smashing goals in. He struggled to score for Barcelona B despite plenty of opportunity in a division weaker than our championship. His only really outstanding season was for Seville B in the Spanish 3rd tier. theowlsman
He'd easily have got a game at Charlton, Huddersfield, or Watford though
steelowl
Loved the buzz around the place when he signed up. Loved that game vs Birmingham, really thought we found a gem and pulled off an amazing signing. Unfortunately it wasn't to be, not the lads fault, spanish football is obviously completely different to the English game, especially at championship level. If we had all the time in the world to wait for him to adjust, I'm sure he'd of been a great player for us. But we don't have the time to wait. Best of luck to him, he's no Messi but he'll be just fine with some Spanish team. seconded

edinburghowl
Bet Madine doesnt get this kind of send off when he goes And compare their respective goal tallies Bizarre 1 league goal v 2 league goals. ;) Massive difference.
anglers owl
good luck to the lad but I still think the Barca angle clouded a few judgements, if he was Rodney from Barkers Pool I dont think he would be getting the same send off !!!!

SWFC_Liam
Shame it didn't work out for him here, clearly a good player but English football isn't what he's built for. Good luck to him.
Wath-owl
OLE OLE OLE OLE..... RODRI.....RODRI The atmosphere after his goal against Birmingham was amazing. Such a shame that this didn't pay off but I'm still glad we gave it a go, such an exciting signing at the time.

bigdan2003
Shame it didn't work out. I don't believe it has anything to do with attitude or work rate, i think it's simply he didn't settle in Sheffield and couldn't learn English...never mind Yorkshire. He looked pretty good against Brum but failed to impress in his other games, however, the team were in a bad run of form and low on confidence. He's clearly talented, and has enough for Barca to have brought him in the first place. Good luck to him.
alexwatson12
It was a gamble worth taking, for whatever reason it hasn't worked out and if he isn't in DJ's plans any more than there's no point in keeping him around. Probably the best move for everybody. Good luck to him.
