no chance he's going to risk coming back too soon and doing his hamstring before looking for a new club at the end of the season.

How is a hamstring going to stop him from looking for a club ?

Hes got 4 months to get fit

Highly unlikely.

If he does come back, there is a fair chance he wouldn't be fully fit, and would simply get injured again.

Had he played a much football before he joined us in January? I get the impression he was very much out in the cold at Leeds this season?

Might explain why he broke down a bit, though getting a hamstring injury in football is pretty standard.

That said isn't it usually a minimum of 3 weeks for a hamstring?

Depends on how bad the tear is.

Think a standard tear is usually between 4 to 6 weeks, but a more severe one can rule someone out for months on end.

Pretty sure Windass has had a few bad hamstring injuries.

Looked like he was in decent nick in that video but I've no idea if that means he's capable of playing.

Problem with a hammy is they often go when simply running or stretching.

Have done mine on a couple of occasions and even a slight tear means you can't do much of anything.
