"Where is the long term planning?"

Recommended Posts

There is no long term planning.

However why would Dawson stay? He’s never going to be first for us in the championship.

So say he signs another 2 year, starts for us next season, we (feint dream) get promoted then he finds himself on the bench again.

Bit of a none story on this one.

But the point stands.

If we are in league 1 next season no way are Brighton sending Beadle back here..

Possibly not but the point is Danny might be happy with keeper situation changing in the summer. He obviously doesn't see Dawson as the answer for how he likes to play. The key is Danny staying then a lot of players we have  might not be wanted

It may come to all season ticket holders not renewing and that it costs Chansiri so much he has to sell. Even if he invested this next season I want him gone. He does not love Sheffield Wednesday and doesn't treat the fans, the heartbeat of the club, with the respect we deserve. We are not fücking servants. We're loyal fans.

I’m not sure not extending a young goalkeeper’s contract when he has more than a year left is the best stick to hit him with. That’s not to say there shouldn’t be forward planning and thinking. We have heard from DR that he has been putting his thoughts in place and the way forward will inevitably depend on which league we are in.
At that time the actions of our owner will clearly demonstrate whether he has learned anything or if it will be business as usual. The latter is scarey

Why does DC have to change anything when there is 10,000 + fans giving him their money 8 months early. He can effectively do what he wants.

Each season we sink further and further, the set up, facilities, ground, training pitches, youth set up. This season 17 players out of contract out of squad of 25/26 players.

Then every year prices go up and they pay it, because thats what they do on a saturday, they dont support the chairman they support the club is the excuse. But DC is the club so you are supporting his incompetence and you continue to support, until the cash from the fans stops flowing we will continue this slow death of SWFC.

When he had funds there was no real planning. Now his means are very limited planning is something he couldn’t afford even if he was capable of it.

That being said, there looks to be a plan. Spend only what you can fleece from the fans after he’s paid the liabilities to himself. We are going to be very much on a League One budget next season regardless of being in it or not.

Obviously Chansiri doesn't understand the concept of planning, that's a valid argument.

However, with regard to the GK department, it's time for Dawson to move on and we needed a loan player (Beadle) to fill the gap this season.

Charles is under contract and is one for the future.

If Chansiri did long term planning, he would not have splurged all his birthday money from his dad in the first two snd a bit seasons he was here. He has spent very little since spart from wierd wage deals for players that just are not worth it. Since we have shown him up so publicly, by giving him the yellow card, in his very own stadium, I dont expect him to fund much at all next season. He did not back Moore in League 1 during the January window when we could have guaranteed automatics with a couple of decent Championship players that would also have made the summer window a bit easier.

Pushing Darren Moore out in the summer was a disgrace, but again well timed to avoid aving to back his manager. Chansiri does it every time. He always sets up his pathetic excuses. This time we will hear again the well used, well we didn't know which division we would be in! We need to buy young Championship players now, otherwise we will be trying to get out of L1 with a bunch of our U21s coming into the team.

Wishful thinking but why doesn't DC look at Ipswich who we were level with last season and think "what are they doing that we're not"?

He gave up on that after looking at Brentford and Brighton.

I turned to Chansiri out probably 3 years ago, but I don't see the goalkeeper situation as one to have a go at him about!

We started the season with a decent keeper, Championship standard. Maybe lower Championship, and a reasonable loan keeper.

Röhl didn't rate them, so brought in a young loan keeper that we may have a chance of getting in on loan again next season, if we stay up.

This isn't a major issue, imo.

It's more on Röhl this one. But it's not a major one. Much more important stuff to worry ourselves about.

Chansiri doesn't do long term planning, short term planning or any sort of planning for that matter.

All he is doing is rinsing fans of there hard earned cash, season after season increases at EPL prices for a league 1(at best) product.

Fans will continue to pay and he will co tinie to increase it year up on year.

Nothing changers until the fans say enough is enough.
