Flint, Dean and Madine

There’s loads of young hungry strikers who we could pick up and pay about 5k a week..we will go for a famous ‘name’ who’s pretty old and slow..but we will pay him about 15k. A week

Im not so sure, we have Gregory and Windass, so it would make more sense to get a young hungry striker...  unless we can get someone like Cole Stockton, although I think he will be looking for a Championship move..

Naughty Mr Owlstalk.

Gary Madine is an horrific idea, a prize idiot

He’s older, wiser and more mature now.

Not saying we should go for him and I’m certainly not say he’s the finished article  but at Blackpool this season he looks a much more accomplished forward than his time at S6

Dean should be a must for me.

Would happily have Flint back but can see him having Championship suitors, as could Dean to be fair.

Madine has burnt his bridges here I think,  also I think he signed a new deal with Blackpool so it'd cost us money which would be better spent elsewhere.

I’d snap your hands off for Dean on a permanent deal.  Excellent centre half providing he can be kept fit.

The one thing that has been evident in these play off fixtures is the lack of pace/energy in forward areas and to an extent in central midfield.

Moore might favour playing with wingbacks - that is fine - but alternatives are needed to provide different options. A Clarke/Roberts would be a great addition.

I guess Dele-Bashiru may be the powerful runner from midfield that’s needed.

Ultimately it was dropped points that cost us this season. 2-0 up at Wimbledon and cruising, Winning away at Cheltenham, Bolton away. If we saw even just those three games out (there were many more), we would have gone up automatically. Most of the goals conceded were from corners as we know or crosses at the very least.

When we were last promoted from this league finishing second we had players who attacked the ball without fear and who were imposing - Llera, Batth, Reda, Jones etc. We lacked this during our spell of handing points away at the last minute until Storey and Dean signed.

We need to sign a mixture of these types of players and then add three of four youngsters with pace and unpredictability. Mostly in attack - replace majority of our slow strikers with faster, younger ones.

Flint or Dean or both would be excellent on one year deals at this level.

People won't like it but we need a Madine type striker. Madine is better then Patterson at hold up play and heading and would be a massive improvement on Patterson. Even as pure plan B he would be worth signing. He has evolved into a pretty decent target man.

So three or four hardened experienced players who will put themselves about and be useful in the air and then it's crucial we sign young players for the wing back and forward areas.

We are a Dad's Army atm and we need an influx of youth - mainly in the attacking areas - so we can counter quicker and become more unpredictable.

UTO.

Dean be lovely. And I can see happening.

Madine won't be unfortunately. We had the chance.

Yeah Oliver, Andy Carroll, Madine....all do the job I think we need someone to do for us. Just this type of striker we need that option next season.

We need strikers that can score goals. Neither of those would

Don't agree with the specific names but I do agree on the types of player and the need to attack the ball

Reda just knew he was going to get to the ball. Zonal or man to man or whatever it didn't matter. It was his ball and he was going to get it

Good post

're Dele Bashiru he has all of the physical attributes to be a top player. He lets himself down with his decision making and also movement after he has passed the ball on. ( Sometimes just stands still)

Would love to see him work with a specialist midfield coach to bring out the best in him.

Kabongo Tshimanga from Chesterfield, big striker built like a brick and since 2018 his goal record is 1 in every 1.8 games.

I’ve seen him about 7 times now and he will play in the premier no doubt, and only 24 years old.

27 games and 24 goals this season before injury.

He progressing year on year and scoring for fun.

Him and Gregory would be excellent together.
