CalmJimmers
Thought they deserved their own thread. This is probably going to backfire massively and they'll be the Invincibles II, but what is going on? They have reportedly been after Ramsdale for £30m, despite being relegated with his last two clubs. Now let a young, English striker who impressed last year go to most likely a rival in Newcastle for £25m?? They have a massive stadium, should have money coming out of their ears, but have been on a slow decline ever since Henry left really. Think they might even struggle for the Europa League this year. Brentford tonight, reyt banana skin believe you me. *Awaits Arsenal 7 - 0 Brentford*
FreshOwl
They’ve spent huge money on poo the last 5 years. Pepe for £72m, Torreira for £27m, Socrates for £18m, Gabriel for £27m. Also rejects like David Luiz & Willian not deemed good enough for their rivals. Aubameyang’s best days are behind him, and Lacazette blows hot and cold - he also cost around £52m Arteta comes across articulate but I don’t think he’s a very good manager. They shouldn’t have got rid of Unai

Mentioned last season that the Arteta hype seemed a bit like emporers new clothes, talked him up big time but while he seems like a good guy and might go on to do big things in management, they are in a mess and need someone with more experience. Emery has proved himself more than capable.

markg
They don't seem to have any kind of strategy any more, not since Wenger left really. Some of their signings have been bizarre. An ageing David Luiz, on an absolute fortune.

markg
Have Arsenal got a load of injuries or something? On paper, that looks like one of the weakest Arsenal sides i've ever seen
bradowl
Arteta will be first manager to go if they get off to a bad start. Not impressed with them so far tonight.
Ellis Rimmer
Pepe was really highly rated when they got him generally they don’t spend that much and when they have it’s been badly also offered contracts to ozil and aubemayang for those two to immediately go to s4hit afterwards-unlucky in that regard Ridiculous decision to appoint arteta Owners are all over the place-seem to rich to care. Stan Kronke owns an area the size of a county in the US

Stan Kronke owns an area the size of a county in the US Aubameyang has scored 85 goals in 150 games for Arsenal, not sure that's sh*t. There are times when he just doesn't seem to be up for it though. No threat to the top 4 or probably even the top 6 this season.
SallyCinnamon
They’ve needed a centre back and centre mid for about 15 years. Neglect it every window. It’s quite staggering. Awful recruitment.
Skyline
Be gone by Christmas Arteta. I like the guy, but I can't help but think this was a bad move for him. Arsenal are a complete mess and a shadow of what they were. Wenger did wonders getting them in the top 4 each year.

The problem is he’s had a stinker tonight, and the lad he’s playing with looks like he’s won a competition to play tonight. All over the place the pair of them

He’s not a 50m pound defender. They’ve signed so many defenders over the years but they’re all an accident waiting to happen.

CalmJimmers
Arsenal all possession, no teeth, like every year. Who makes their transfer decisions? Could have spent £85m on Ramsdale and White, whereas Chelsea got Lukaku and Grealish went to City for not much more.
