Luongo update

Recommended Posts

He tweaked his thigh on Thursday in training. Hopefully it is not too bad. We will have to reassess him this week and see where he goes with that.

I'm disappointed for him because he was chomping at the bit to get involved. He has worked his way back from injury and then to pick up another little niggle is frustrating for him and us.

Great player when he is available but he literally is always injured

All about opinions but “Great player”? Can’t say I’ve seen that whilst he’s been here. When fit he’s been average with the odd good game.

Bottom line is he’s no use if he’s never fit.

Yep. One of my absolute hates. People who say “he’s good when fit” whilst all the time - getting paid,

taking up a place in the squad,

being relied upon by others

Waste of time saying it.

I hope if we have to get 12 new players next season we get some that don’t constantly break down.

Shame because he is a good player.

He is. That’s why it hurts. The club have tried to make the right signing - and it’s turned into one of those cans loaded with springy worms.

The way he got us going for our second goal at Bournemouth was great... that’s what we miss.
