Free transfer market.

Birmingham sign free agent Alen Halilovic. Attacking midfielder. Sounds an exciting prospect.

Skillful, but not a team player. Failed wherever he went and is running out of time to carve a decent career for himself.

Looks like Pulis will be dipping into the free transfer market. I think we definatley need a LB and a CF. Ideally a RB and a Winger too but they may have to wait.

Any suggestions on who might be a good signing? Looking through the list I’d say;

Darryl Janmaat

Ahmet Musa

Jackson Irvine

Omar Niasse

Not really much out there to be honest.

I made a list out of interest other day and then promptly deleted it because no one wants to come and we've not got owt to spend

Jackson Irvine should be a signing made. Kevin Stewart also? We could have sold Bannan, raised some capital and brought these in on frees.

Most free agents haven’t had a pre season and won’t make much impact now surely?

Jackson Irvine had a chance and is now sat at home.

On paper he would seem a Pulis signing in terms of his height, but he lacks the heart for a fight

Jackson Irvine can go f*** himself.

He didn’t want to sign for us when we had a 12 point deduction so let him stay unemployed.

Imagine paying Daniel Sturridge like 1m till the end of the season...

That's 1m that could have gone into the academy

He was reportedly on 27k a week at Trabzonspor, so just a bit over half a mil.......if he kept us up it'd be money well spent.

Going to dream until he signs for someone else.

I guess that out of players available on free transfer right now, you could assemble better and cheaper squad than what we have.

which strikers?

Wasn't a free transfer but this lad would have been a good shout. Doubt he cost more than Paterson, on less money and would have been just the striker we needed, plus young with resale value.

Ah well....

Fraser Hornby

Good player, very much reminds me of younger Steve Fletcher. But he would always pick Ligue 1 before Championship football.

Even if we did signed him, it would be hard to expect him to immediately become our starting striker.

There is another talented Everton player Antony Evans, who swapped Premier League 2 for Bundesliga 2 and signed for SC Paderborn.

Premier League 2 is full of players that would improve us and could earn club like ours lot of money in the future. Shame that we used that market so poorly.

Apparently and somewhat astonishingly Hamza Barry is still available on free transfer after leaving Hajduk Split.

To get understood, Hajduk is quite cr*p these days but they do have couple of decent players and this guy was by far their best player last couple seasons.

26 years old Gambian international who is quick, athletic and confident on the ball and plays as central or defensive midfielder.

27k per week is about 1.3m per year which would help entice a complete generation of talent if we spent that in the academy, especially youth scouting
