Inspector Lestrade
He's thirty-five? Should we be thinking about him as a possibility for next season? Or is time he hung his boots up?
Bouncing Owl
No. He’s been a great player has Brunty but we need a new direction. I’d like us to go for young, energetic and motivated players. Old model has failed and a new plan is required.

Brunt was one of the best players we have had over the last 2 decades, but if we want to move on we must look to players who are young enough to be improved and hopefully sold on at a profit. Guest wilyfox
The fact anyone has suggested this proves they're living in the past.

Guest
Fanbase complains that club are overspending on wages and have signed too many players that have no sell-on value. Fan starts a thread asking fans whether club should consider signing a 35-year-old who has been used to Premier League wages for the past decade........ Andrew_Owl
No get someone younger, so when we are losing we can complain about not having enough experience in the squad.

EcclesallOwl
Would be valuable experience and a great sort of player to have in the dressing room IF he hadn’t been on a Premier League wage for the past 10 years and if we hadn’t just resigned Pelupessy
asteener1867
We are not a bloody "rest home"....he was good for us...he was good for West brom...he's now 35...and West Brom don't want him... it doesn't follow that we take him back.....Its the sort of mistake we make...bloody memories of what were..... 2

@owlstalk
Remember kids.. As a Sheffield Wednesday fan the ONLY people you should ever consider us bringing to the club are: 1) Ex Players to play for us again 2) Ex Players to manage us (no other candidates should ever be considered) 3) Ex Players to come back and 'be a coach' 4) Ex Players to come back and manage us 5) Ex Managers to come back and manage us again (No matter how bad things were when they left) It's crucial you all stick to the plan. Under no circumstances must you EVER be forward thinking, innovative, imaginative or sensible *END OF SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT* 2 6 Owlstalk Shop
