Fibonacci91
Have we ever been this ineffective at free kicks. I’ve seen worse periods for corners, but not free kicks.
Littleowl74
Think they just drew lots after Wallace left as to who would take them. Our set pieces have never been right since Antonio left with his towel.

Roscoe P. Coltrane
Any free kicks within shooting distance should be left to Hector Let him put his laces through it. 1

Ian
Free kicks awarded around the edge of the area are over rated......everyone always gets worried / excited by them and I don’t have the stats (be great if someone does) but I’d venture a guess that less than 1 in 25 of free kicks around the 20-25 yard distance end up in the net.....I’d rather we had one further out and put it in the mixer than someone think they can bang one in from 25 yards. Against Reading we had more chance of scoring from their goal kicks than from our corners! Edited February 13, 2019 by Ian

I have been very disappointed recently in Bannan's corners and on Saturday his free kick delivery. Surely we need a right footer taking corners down the left hand side to swing the ball in. Bannan constantly overhit the outswinging corners last night. A change is needed in who takes the corners and free kicks in my view. Missed Wallace here big style. gurujuan
I’m not a fan of Bannan’s corners, and bizarrely, neither of the wide players, Reach or Boyd, can take a decent set play

Leaping Lannys Perm
Missing Wallace in this area. His deliveries could be deadly, especially with free kicks just outside the final third.
Dylan93
Always thought Wallace had a good deliver from set pieces
Costello 77
Any game that involves striking a ball is pure practice and repetition if you want to be any good at it...go's for most things really... if you want to be in the elite club...then practice more...and repeat. If you're failing at doing something basic like getting shots on target or knocking freekicks into the kop..... you need to practice....a lot. gurujuan
The puzzling one is Reach, his crossing is poor, compared to his accurate shooting.

Rogers
All professional players should be able to take a corner IMO However, I do think that Wingers, short arses, or full backs should take corners. Players that can blast it right hard should take free kicks from the edge of the box and outwards to 35 yards. Reach maybe but like him around the edge of the box for loose balls. FF never consistently delivered. As said aid would be nice to have someone who can really deliver at dead balls That guy who plays for the patriots might be the answer. But then we'd have to buy taller players and widen the pitch. Then DC would put the prices up. So not realty a good idea after all.
TomtheOwl95
Totally agree, set piece's have been disappointing for a long time. We don't score anywhere near enough for the quality we have in there.

shandypants
I don’t think we’ve really had a good set piece combination since Brunt used to put all his set pieces on Coughlan head.
