Worrying for the prevention aspect though - everyone in front of him needs to be doing more to stop teams getting in to these positions! Shame Hutchinson can’t get fit or not be suspended as I still think he’d be an asset in CM! This ! Get Sammy in !
Quist
Think defence has improved as we have got into season.. Introduction of Penney has helped and in last game Lee was back in form for first time this season. Hector introduction looks a positive too. In addition JP is now in form after a slow start. Only areas of concern for me are right back (although Baker can keep on improving through season) and cover at left back for Penney. Delighted Dawson getting some recognition for efforts is rightly holding down his place in team.

bobness
Not worried at all. The defence will be sorted when Cahill signs.
A E Neuman NYowl
We are very fortunate to have 2 excelent young keepers, for me there is very littl between Dawson and Wildsmith. Personally I just prefer Wildsmith after some of his match winning performances last season.

legendaryswan
Shows how much we miss Loovs in there, replacing Loovs wont come that cheap again, once again not buying Sasso bites us in the arse
wilfsmith
It seems the data just includes shots stopped (inside and outside the box). It would be interesting if it included crosses collected, caught or punched clear of the penalty area too.
Mr. Chow
Sort his area distribution out and he will go far. He is a great shot stopper. Grab the ball

Whoscored.com have a statistic called "aerial duels", which I believe the definition is where a player is directly challenging with another for a ball in the air... so non-free headers and goalkeepers trying to claim crosses under pressure. Dawson is 5th highest in the list of Championship goalkeepers.

Let's hope you're right, but we all knew why we were unable to strengthen. Maybe we should have offered Loovens 12 month in retrospect, just for a bit of stability. What we need is experience in defence
