I think it is the increasing trend of people joining their names when they marry rather than one partner taking the other's.

His father is Carter, his mother, Vickers.

This is all well and good until you get to the next generation and end up with four surnames. lol

Or just having kids without being married which is becoming more common and each parent wanting it to take both names.

Sheffield Wednesday have joined Championship rivals Ipswich Town and Swansea City in pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, according to reports.

The Mirror reports that these three Championship teams want Carter-Vickers on loan before the window passes at the end of this month.

This was first mentioned yesterday from the most unreliable website in Britain, the HITC he is on £20,000 a week at Spurs and Stoke are in for him so this is not going to happen for a club with the finances of us.

Yesterday it was a player we should go for, today it is a player we are after shoddy journalism from a very poor Leeds United website

Highly rated young defender on a decent contract at Spurs.

He’s born and bred English but has an American father, so played the odd game for the US national team.

Really strong beefy player, built more like a rugby player, won’t be knocked off the ball.

Generally looks surprisingly impressive (easy PL standard) BUT......

makes the occasional howlers (probably concentration issues?) and this can then affect his confidence hence why some clubs have doubts.

Overall though a decent OK defender for Championship level.

As in American Football?

His wages are 20k a week which, by Wednesday standards, is very low. Our average wage is probably double that. Will he want to come to a club like Wednesday with a dubious record in man management.?

Even though I'm a Wednesday fan, we are now club that few players will want to take a career risk in coming here. Too many, since our new owner took over, have had their careers ruined.

How true.

If you come here, you're in traction before the month's out.
