This is exactly why Jos hasn't been playing him and the other youngsters in every single game.

They aren't used to 90minutes of intense football at this level yet, it takes a big toll on them after a game and they need to be managed properly and given enough time to adjust/recover. Even if they are 100% fit going into the match and put in a 7/10 performance it does not mean they are ready to do it all again 3 days later.

Playing when you are fatigued or playing with a knock drastically increase your chances of getting a serious injury it also explains why we have so many players long term injured.

Since when?

He's played 21 games in League One this year, mostly the full 90; and he's twenty one years old, not some geriatric.

If a twenty one year old academy player that has been playing regularly all year can't handle 90 minutes a week, nobody can.

The idea that he doesn't or wouldn't have the fitness to play is absurd

Has he ever played more than 6 games at this level in his career? No, he's played a few times for L1/L2 clubs.

Playing for a club in the lower leagues semi regularly for half a season is not the same as playing for us.

Apart from the vast gap in quality the teams he's playing against at this level are much better and he is playing in a side where he will need to track back, a lot, really put a shift in and get used to not having a lot of the ball. Not to mention he's playing alongside a first XI who are all in a new formation and fairly new to the first team themselves?

At one stage of the season we had the entire first XI out through injury - which when analysed almost all of the injuries were down to players being very fatigued, recurring injuries or minor injuries that were not treated properly and the player was rushed back.

You are going to have to explain to me how thats a load of rubbish because that is EXACTLY the reasons why we have so many injuries?

I already laid it out:

You seem to under the impression that Clare is like Stobbs and not playing on loan:

He's played 21 games on loan in League One this season before recalled back to us, and in all but a handful for the full 90 minutes.

He's a 21 year old professional footballer, playing 90 minutes a week in League One.  If he doesn't have the fitness, no one does.

picks up injury in game but takes club 5 days to mention it.

At what point did we decide it was best practice to give the next opponent as much notice as possible on our team selection just to placate a handful of needy fans?

This has been standard practice for the owls for about 3 season as Carlos always picked the same team even if they were carrying injuries, playing rubbish or any other issues.

If thy were available our side was always Westwood, Reach, Lees, Loovens,Hunt, Bannan, Lee, Hutch, Wallace, Hooper, Fletcher we were so predicable so team knew what to expect and play against.

The same way Westwood was get picked for Ireland now all of a sudden he is back in training.

He isn't though; they said he's 2 weeks away from training and coming back to the squad... by which I assumed he's doing "training" with physio etc. for recovery from his injury.

If carlos was still here fessi bannan hutch all of them would of been rushed back by now .thats why all the injuries have caught up with us
