Clutching at straws drawing comparisons for me .

100% right and we don't often agree. I just don't understand how folk can compare two completely different clubs and two completely different managers.

At the time when Brighton took an upturn they had just had a new stadium and was very much on a financial upturn and they worked the market extremely well...two completely different sets of scenarios to us!

I'm absolutely all for giving jos a good fair crack at it next season.

But if there was a decision to be made about whether we went into next season with Jos or Hughton in charge id be giving jos his p45 immediately

Yeah it will be difficult making comparisons if people need it to be the same club and manager

Its quite clear what the comparisons are throughout this thread, fair enough if some don’t want to agree or aren’t interested but they could just leave this thread to those that are. But I suppose in life there always needs to be someone that says “I disagree!”

I think the injury situation will work in our favour. Jos has been able to see at firsthand how good our squad is in terms of depth, including introducing a number of promising youngsters to the mix. Some players have stepped up and some haven’t, I think because of this his recruitment strategy is a lot more clearer than what it would have been if he had not seen certain players in a competitive situation. When considering the situation he’s inherited and managed (and considering his previous successes in Germany) I think it’s only fair to give Jos the opportunity to continue to take things forward - something that I am sure Norwich regretted not doing for Hughton.

He deserves a fair crack at it next season although I don't think Chansiri will be so hesitant to pull the trigger this time around due to the complete sh*t show that this season turned in to with sticking with Carlos. 10-15 games should do it

15 game unbeaten run, not an issue.

It’s a good comparison to make and one I have been doing myself.

Jos was doing better than Hughton in his first 9 games, but unfortunately the last 4 games have turned it in Hughton’s favour.

tho I really doubt Hughton had the injury problems that we have right this season

Was Brighton a full strength squad in playoffs 2016?  Can't remember
