Is George Boyd still alive?

He had an operation on his shoulder, it was fractured, he then felt more pain, and had to have a second operation on it about 4/5 weeks ago I think? So that's why it's now a long term thing, an extra operation.

Fair enough, wasn't aware of the second operation. Still should be being asked about, we get a weekly 'update' on Forestieri despite it being quite clear he's out long term and Hutchinson who let's be honest is never 'fully fit'.

I knew he'd be a crap signing. I tried to join the masses and look at his positives, but he was never what we needed. When you have Reach and Wallace, you don't need Boyd. We needed something different; dare I say pace and power? God forbid..!

Who the roger is turning down PL-proven grit and guile that's still in the prime of his career?

Give me a break.

It’s not about that though is it. Boyd, as part of a balanced squad including wingers with pace and youth, midfielders and full backs with  lots of energy and athleticism would be a great signing.

thank god we didn’t spend circa 9 million on yet another forward who is good in the air with zero pace, oh wait......

I didn't say he was a crap player in any way, just not what we needed. Keep ya fannypack on!

Proven quality, but so are Jones and Abdi. Can they get in the team either? It's about signing the right pieces to fit our jigsaw, not just random good players. Even when fit, Boyd was struggling to hold down a place the way we play.

The circa 9 million player has scored 4 in his last 7 starts, and if Hooper is injured will be vital to us in the coming weeks.

Under Bully it seems we will be having plenty of balls into the forwards. Exactly what the likes of Rhodes, Hooper and Fletcher will thrive on. Harry Kane would have struggled under Carlos.
