Agree with most of the sentiment of this, however I can't say that I've ever been embarrassed to be a Wednesday fan. The club has never done anything to warrant me feeling that way.

 

It's the overreacting, knee-jerking idiots who should be feeling embarrassed.

I was devastated and angered by the game on Sunday. I've only been embarrassed by the reaction. Totally agree.

Embarrassed. No. Why would I be embarrassed I've supported this club vocally and financially for 90% of my life. 

 

I am usually 99% of the time on the clapping side of the fence.

 

Those that know me and regularly chat with me know that after nearly every game I will post on here highlighting the positives. 

Looking for the good to see even in the most dull of games or defeats.

 

On a weekly basis I'll write a piece sticking up for one of our players who's getting stick. Or the manager making a great sub or change.

 

But when I have to see this ......Yards from my seat. 

 

 

Then yes.

I will go absolutley OTT crazy like everyone else or 48 hrs

If the pwrformance-result of this match didn't kick you viscerally in your nuts, so soon after our meek capitulation vs Huddersfield in the playoffs, then I really question what would it ever take to rouse a semblance of ire against the way your club is being prepared/managed/coached.

 

If this doesn't bother you, what will?

I was one who left 2 minutes before the end the sound of we want 5 got a little bit to much to take in the end .As for next games can see a reaction against brum but it's going to be another miserable Sunday afternoon at hillsborough

I think 5 years without them lot in the same league has given a few people temporary amnesia.

 

Ok, so it was a sh*t performance from a team we've assembled at great expense compared to theirs, this narked me too. But surely people haven't forgotten that this is occasionally what they have done and will continue to do so now and then.

 

It might make us rethink or refocus, it may even mean a change of manager or approach... It will however never be the end of the world, because we are The Wednesday and they are just an occasional annoyance.

I will never be embarrassed to be a Wednesday fan and neither should anyone else. Look at how we have turned up week in week out through thick and very thin. I am though thoroughly fooked off with the actions of a group of well rewarded people who cannot take it upon themselves to take responsibility when they pull on a Wednesday shirt, coach from the sidelines or make decisions that impact on how the club operates. The group that took to the field on Sunday, Hooper and Joao excused, are often very quick to take the plaudits when things go well but are nowhere to be seen when the bobbar hits the fan. This will take some serious work and effort from the players to win back the respect of the fans.
