Apparently it's nothing to do with proximity to away fans. It's the concourses and also how quickly we can leg it if there's a fire.

Fires must have got more dangerous over the years and amazingly the concourses have shrunk defying all the laws of physics

If we're not allowed to sell that corner because of overcrowded concourse why do they net it off. If we spread out into the corners of the stand there would be less overcrowding. But then just don't sell some of the seats in that stand.

Looked a reyt idiot to my Leeds mates, boasting how we'd got 36k at least going. Ends up they have 3k more than us ffs.

Whittling in case a stadium made of concrete and steel catches fire but Forest Green Rovers are planning to make their new stadium out of wood, good job SAG won't have a say in their crowd control, the FGR fans would all have to watch the match at home on beamback.

One thing that has changed since last season and the Arsenal/Brighton games is that our Stadium Manager has resigned and there's a new one in place.

He sits on the committee.

Maybe the SAG isn't the issue, given that the evidence suggests that recently they have allowed many more. Maybe it's the stadium manager that's insisting on these seats netting off to separate  Owls fans from Owls fans... I'd like to know the answer to that Mr Regulator

That's an interesting development Grandad.

Never knew that.

3,000 in upper west . 1,200 lower west

1,500 North West corner. 1,000 maybe on west side of North.  3,000 everywhere else. A joke. No where else does that happen.

Sounds like a good analysis.

Completely crackers.

But DC is a very shrewd businessman. He will see empty seats and people wanting to put cash into his bank account to sit in them. He will have a plan!

But many more performances like today and the "problem" will go away.

This is a real problem that is really annoying. It looks so bad when you get a sell out then watch highlights and there is that many empty seats.  Shocking.

Then after the game they don't let the south stand exit via leppings Lane but let the north stand. How much sense does that make.

IF promotion does happen then what.

Also don't no if this has been mentioned but the new voromity things they said was getting installed on the north they have now been done.

Stops people in the top half of the stand getting to the bottom

Can you imagine. Sag would have all the fans dressed in flame proof protective gear

I've said this before that I often watch Wednesday highlights with non Wednesdayites and without fail someone will make the comment that there wasn't many people at the game because of the visible empty seats. And despite me saying there was actually 30k there I can tell people aren't convinced.

Some might say it doesn't matter but it actually does from a PR point of view and how the club is seen by others in football.

We have the fan base so let the fans into the ground!

What they done to the north pal? Not been on there for a bit. Im guessing they've closed the ramp off?

DC has been looking at empty seats for 2 years now, you'd have thought he'd have come up with a plan by now.

They just put a new barrier in front of the gangway entrances to stop u going from the top section to the bottom without going onto the concourse and walk round.

Ramp is still open. It was a safety thing that needed doing.

Just a thought but...

We could have realistically sold another 4-5000 (couldn't sell any more in lepp upper, or in the corner) which averaging at about £12 a ticket (when you factor concessions in) would be about £50k (which doesn't take into account extra stewards, turnstile operators, etc...) aka, 2 weeks wages of one player.

Maybe the chairman thought that having a "sell out" would demonstrate more demand and increase sales at full price games rather than fighting to let more fans in once for minimal return. They've already stated that memberships are going to be limited in number next year.

Pure speculation (and probably miles off)  but I'm just annoyed as someone who missed out and saw these images after...
