Mountain Owl
agree needs to be properly developed knock the lot down remove the pile of earth probably been there since 1899 and start again This is the only real solution. We could make it even bigger, Dortmund style and have proper catering and toilet facilities. This would also encourage more fans back on to the kop. Arthur Bach
We wouldn't need to rebuild the entire stand. A new roof supported by a truss like the South Stand has would do the trick. What about the Victorian, decaying turnstiles? Woeful refreshments? Horrible toilets? If you're gonna do it, do it right.

Blue n White Rampage
Not the people but the metal uns. The amount of restricted view seating is dogger. Could be a great stand wi out em. i dont think the stand would stand wi out em
Wath-owl
What about the Victorian, decaying turnstiles? Woeful refreshments? Horrible toilets? If you're gonna do it, do it right. I agree. Just saying, if it was only a matter of getting unrestricted views for the entire stand then it wouldn't be too difficult to simply stick a new roof over it. Probably still very pricey, but nothing complicated at all from a design point of view. Edited March 17, 2016 by Wath-owl

vulva
Away remember that it would have cost us £100k at the time, to have a roof without pillars. Those were the days when Garry Thompson at £440k was our record signing. For years. Back in the day, pre Dave Richards, we were a very tight club. Arthur Bach
These next three photos are all pre-1992. (Can you guess them?) Yes Hillsborough is a nice stadium and yes we slowly did improve her over a number of years. But nothing like how other clubs saw aspiration
Mountain Owl
Apparently in 1961 there was consideration to take the planned cantilever to be built on the North stand to be taken all the way round the corner (Tangos corner) and cover the kop. It did'nt come off because of the expense.
darklord
No need to remove them just swap them for glass ones. See right through em and the roof stays up.
