You wouldnt be able to just remove them, you would have to literally re-build the entire 'stand'.

 

Except its not even a stand, its seats on a mound of earth with a roof over it.

The whole site would need clearing and deep foundations sunk.

 

Man City started building their extention to the ground first as the architecture already existed to support it.

 

The Kop is my favourite icon of the club but is also about 50 years out of date.

agree needs to be properly developed knock the lot down remove the pile of earth probably been there since 1899 and start again

We wouldn't need to rebuild the entire stand.

 

A new roof supported by a truss like the South Stand has would do the trick.

I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that its going to be a new stadium for us.

 

But if they chose to re-develop how amazing could Penistone Road look with a new stand and neon blue lit facia? Encompassing turnstiles, refreshments and socialising space.
