The Championship Run-In

Recommended Posts

Looking at those run ins there's no way Hull and Burnley aren't making the top two. Especially when you look at Boro's last five games.

Derby have a run of 3 make or break games towards the end as well which could see any one of us, Brum, Ipswich or Cardiff catch them.

What does that mean?!? Probably not a lot given how the Championship swings back and forth each week!!

Ipswich look like a strong bet for a play-off place, but I'm not worried about it being at our expense if they get it.

Honestly I think there are 3 positions well up for grabs at present. I wouldn't be entirely convinced by the run in if I was a Brighton fan, and Derby have some tough fixtures with very little form to speak of at present.

Goal difference could be crucial as well. It's tight within the play-offs, but ours is very favourable compared to those just outside. Could be worth an extra point if there's a situation where we're hanging onto 6th going into the last day.

Last 3 games looks crucial for everybody. Think the entire picture could change several times in the space of those final 3.

Can't help feeling that it will be who drops off rather than us outperforming par for the rest of the season.

Ipswich have pretty much the bottom 6 left to play at home. I'd expect them to finish 6th at the expense of derby, whose run in looks extremely tough. Funnily enough they both play each other on the final day

I think well finish 5th, and play boro in the semis and Brighton in the final

even though i really can't stand Ipswich and don't particularly rate them either, they have 6 very winnable home games

Their matches before playing us...

Blackburn, Rotherham, Charlton, Brentford all four at home.

One away v Wolves.

We need mainly wins and a draw or two in the run up to the head-to-head.

Cardiff by contrast have a few stinkers starting Saturday.

I think it could be between us, Derby and Ipswich for two places.

In the words of Tommy Doherty, "Blackburn only lack one thing....ability".

Sadly, no chance.

Who'd of thought MK Dons would of got a point at Hull?

Rovrum turning us over?

Charlton beating Middlesboro?

The past few weeks have shown just how crazy this league.

Expect the unexpected.
