Bluesteel
Whitley bay has been quiet for years now. If you want to go out on the coast, tynemouth is much better but it's more up market like parts of Newcastle. Fish and chips from marshals on the front street is recommended during the day. If you want a Whitley bay style night out then you're better off hitting the bigg market in town. Otherwise, the bars on Moseley street, dean street and the quayside are good to go to. TheEnchanter
I usually start in Jesmond and then move further towards the City Centre. Try to pop in Trent House if I can but it'll be rammed. Where did Wednesday fans drink up here when they came last time? Bluesteel
Last time I saw a fair few drinking on Percy street because it was close to the ground. There are so many pubs everyone gets spread out

Bluesteel
I imagine the mile castle and union rooms (both big Lloyds and weatherspoons) near the station will be popular. If people wanted to arrange a place to go for a few hours en masse those places would be a good shout
0191Owl
agree...dint get no trouble but that place has deffo had its day I can confirm this as I have lived in Whitley Bay for the last 7 years. Toon Owl
Ive lived in North Shields for many years now and used to go to Whitley Bay but it's got nothing now. Most bars are shut. Tynemouth is great but maybe a little remote for a Wednesday night match. Stick to Jesmond or the city centre.
