Lyons was just past his prime but an integral part of our success in that period. Nige will always be remembered for his role in the legendary side of the early 90s. His goals, leadership and defensive qualities helped play a big part in that great Cup run and promotion. Both were superb defenders and leaders, and everything a team needs to have in their side to be successful. But for me Pearson wins it, slightly, for that magnificent 1990/91 season, lifting a trophy and for his role in our success in the top flight after promotion.
