Matias now injury free, more familiar with his surroundings, knows what to expect on the pitch and seemed to increase his workrate later in the season. Carlos spoke of how big a miss Melo would be when he was injured. Suggests he rates him. Joao obviously now has a season under his belt and will be expected to kick on. Of course, there are no real guarantees, but it certainly installed them as favourites. This time around, that level of investment wouldn't have guaranteed them a top two finish. We aren't quite wealthy enough to make the Champions league or we just aren't wealthy enough to compete in League 2. The story is the same! Aldridge also left a pack of false moustaches and beards so that you can make some random player from non-league football, look like Steven Fletcher.
