Windass and Johnson

Recommended Posts

Johnson is a maybe but inconsistent...

windass 100%no And in my eyes needs to go next season and not be offered a contract.

Let's get somebody else in.

That will play More than handful of games and be More consistent Probably. For half is wage. That won't go missing when a boxing eevent is on....

I’d go with this. I’ve always thought Windass is good as an impact sub. Johnson’s performances obviously vary a lot but what’s the alternative at this stage? Starting Pederson? I’d say start him and if he’s having a mare, hook him .

I think Johnson will come good.

Windass in the past 2 games has been poor and doesn't warrant a start. However, hardly have depth of players waiting to replace him!

Marv ain't been good for last 5 games.

Personality issue. Too risky.

We need fighters. Those who would die for the Owls. Leave Marv out then.

Windass. Bench.

Not convinced he has "the fight or will" to contribute to the team tbh.

Sad situation with these 2.

Windass yes. Johnson no.

Windass should be near full fitness and he'll put the effort in.

Johnson has been abysmal and he looks like he's thinking about that next move.

We were so much better v Stoke with Windass on the pitch.

He's not perfect of course but we need this kind of link player in the absence of Poveda.

This is how I saw it, too.

He created a great chance for Ugbo which really should have resulted in a goal, linked our attack and midfield, and helped us to retain possession, and thus pressure, in the final third.

Yes, he's coming back from an injury and clearly faded, but we were better with him on the pitch than off.

I think some are looking for him to do things that aren't his game rather than focusing on what he does do, for some reason.

I've given up trying to make sense as to why.
