So true
I can't even see how - with the small space that we have in the old south stand infrastructure) - we can build anything bigger/better there

There is plenty of spaces under the south stand that could be better used

The same goes for the whole ground the spaces should be better utilised

He's leaving isn't he....

He may well do.

I think Sunderland will look at him in the summer.

Just a hunch.

Looks like paying absurd wages to players sitting in the stands and not accepting offers for previous players before letting them go for nowt has really paid dividends, well played DC, again. Everything always comes back to him doesn't it? Every little could have helped with upgrading training facilities if he wasn't such a crank of an owner.

I still wouldn't be surprised if he was a left field appointment for the likes of Brighton or Brentford... Lets face it their managers are in demand from the big boys, especially De Zerbi..

I think that type of club is a decent bet for his next move. Better quality of life in the south on the kind of money he would command and working for a club that mirrors his own ambition.

I've been in the home changing room twice - once years ago and then again recently on the ground tour.

It's changed significantly. Our tour guide told us the home dressing room was reduced in size of the orders of Chansiri as he felt it was previously too big.

He felt the team would be more connected in a smaller environment.

It is pretty snug nowadays.

I don't think that it's that daft an idea really, but not as small as ours.

Remember a previous Arsenal manager saying that the size of the new changing rooms at the Emirates was too big and that it had a big negative impact on being able to deliver team talks etc.

To be honest, that comment from DR doesn't really say what his problem with the changing room is. It doesn't say it's too small. It could be the lighting is too basic. The AV kit could be too old. The showers, might need a refit and better ventilation. I think his point was more about providing an aspirational environment. Training pitches, facilities at middlewood, parking, etc. I imagine those changing rooms are looking as neglected as the rest of the ground at the moment. The pitch hoardings and stand fascia is looking as tatty as i've ever seen it. Even the PlusNet days the ground might have been old, but it was at the very least clean (excluding the kop toilets)

I would start at our club with the squad and pitch before I started squeezing in the size of the changing room

That pitch has been neglected beyond. No wonder we advertise every other week for ground staff. They probably all know full well that a pitch of that order HAS to be maintained. It’s not a simple case of mowing it and throwing a bit of seed on it. I’d have thought specialist equipment is needed all of which costs, yet simply hasn’t been looked after because I bet a certain person wouldn’t spend on it.

No wonder everyone has left. No one wants that on their CV.

Changing rooms, what you on about says the man at the top. You only get changed in it. All your analysis can be done on this old b & w Portable.
