Just looked at one of the QPR fans forums.

They suggest they have lost exactly £39m over the last 3 years - so are right on the very edge of allowed losses.....

Seems convenient!

This suggests QPR made a profit the first of the three seasons...?

According to companies house: -

2020 - £16,393,000

2021 - £4,114,000

2022 - £24,667,000

2023 - £20,337,000

That is a loss of £49,118,000 over the last three years

Thanks! Be interesting to see what happens now - sure the cut off point for a deduction is around the middle of March, but it would take some quick movement from the EFL to get a punishment in time for this season.

Let’s not forget that accounting loss is not the same as ffp loss. There may be some expenses in the accounts which don’t count in the ffp calcs.

As much as you feel for the fans, the fact is we were punished and so you want to see consistent and fair punishments.

Yep, I suspect that the additional costs that can be offset are a minimum of £10, 120,000.... convenient for everyone

Good point mate but allowable expenses for 12 months in excess of £10M will bare much scrutiny ...... Especially with the separate issue of repayment of the overdue EFL fine!

I would hope the likes of ourselves & Derby would be putting pressure on the EFL re the level playing field!

We were mainly punished due to a certain somebody trying to fiddle the accounts by putting a large sum into the wrong year.  Had he not and we'd got done purely for breaching FFP instead the punishment may not even have been so severe.

Didn't the new Profit & Sustainability rules brought in a couple of years ago, determine the 3 year accounting period included the previous 2 seasons accounts and a forecast for the current season.

These figures have to be submitted before the end of February. With the EFL having the power to enforce any punishments before the end of the current  season.
