I don't think it's any exaggeration to say if Danny keeps us up this season, we'll be pushing on for a top 6 spot next season (subject to sensible backing from the owner of course). Really excited to see what January will bring. Surely, Chansiri realises this coach and his team are his best shot in a long time of getting back to the Premier League and him getting his money back?

Absolutely, if we stay up, there will be such momentum with the club under Danny.

Whatever Chansiri has left to invest in the club he must do so in the summer to allow Danny to really implement his philosophy and bring in the type of player he desires for a big push.

If we stay up, it feels like next season will be the biggest chance we’ll have had in nearly a decade to push for playoffs/promotion to the prem - Danny won’t be here much longer after that if we don’t.

Think we will bring in a few players that nobodies heard of. I’m sure Röhl is going to use his contacts in Germany - the wages of players playing at the bottom end of bundesliga are within our wage structure, so hoping we can find a gem or two.

One from the summer that we are apparently back in for in Conor Bradley from Liverpool. Right back, was very good at Bolton, and certainly improves us. Just a little lightweight for me.

Gregory has been a good player for us but it's time he moved on now. Need outgoing ls so DR and reshape the squad

Yes, I think his race is run at Hillsborough, he doesn’t seem to feature in Danny’s plans now.

He’s always given 100% for the cause, but hopefully he can be moved on in January and free up some wages.

For once, it feels like it’s going to be a very interesting month.  Even with Chansiri as owner

Beadell and the new coaching team have all spoken about Danny’s exciting plans for the club made them want to join.
I think we are safe to assume that’s not going to be based on spending millions.   I also doubt “exciting plans” is based on signing experienced loans like Hendrick and Fletcher.

My money is on us signing some more young players like Gassama, on low nominal fee deals with sell on clauses.  Beadell specialised in signing relatively unknown foreign youngsters, particularly at Arsenal under Wenger.   He spoke about how his and Danny’s philosophy’s matched.

Danny confirmed after QPR game that his aim is to build a young side at Wednesday.

With Danny, Beadell and Pederson we may see some youngsters from Germany and Denmark joining the club.  If they can snap up some players from under 19 sides, we could have a very exciting future ahead of us.

What’s the ruling with foreign players/work permits? Understand it’s 5 - but is it 5 per season or 5 at a time ie if we sent Vasquez back for example does that give us an extra WP?

Think it’s 4 non qualifying players who I believe are Vasquez, Valentin, Mousaba and Gassama. Diaby and Delgado qualified for work permits

Think we are going to struggle to get work permits for any non uk players in January

I wouldn't be surprised if Smith was sold to generate a fee to use.  I'm not sure he fits the pressing, agile, harassing way Röhl likes to play.  And he's one of the few players we have that would ba valuable to a L1 club pushing for promotion.  32 or not, a goal every other game is worth a few quid.

Joe Worrall out of favour at Forest and a loan move to the Championship looks the most likely outcome.

Hucknall lad, Sheffield would be a good location for him. I imagine he’s now on a fair whack though having signed a new deal not all that long ago.

Amazing in the last two months we’ve gone from “ going down, shower of poo , league two coming”

To “ exciting jtw staying and going up next year “

Danny has done one hell of a job turning this round. Just praying DC will back him in the next two windows and see where we go.

Cant see a league 1 club paying a fee and also picking up the remaining 18 months of his £9-£10k a week contract

If he can get a 3-year deal at someone like Derby for £6/7k a week, it would make financial and football sense for him. Derby are huffing and puffing in 6th again, they could really do with a 20-goal man. Even at £500k, I'd let him go. £500k fee and £8/10k a week saving, that gives Danny something to play with. And that's before Gregory and anyone else is shipped out.

If I were a club like Derby, I would consider someone like Smith, but only on loan and then get younger and better next summer.

Can Derby even pay transfer fees yet?

I didn't think there was a limit to the number of eligible foreign players you can sign.

Though there has to be a minimum of 7 'homegrown' players named in a matchday squad.

Obviously there is a limit to loans, which is 7 of which only 5 can be named in a matchday squad.

We have 4 loan players.  Vasquez, Fletcher, Buckley, Hendrick and Mo Diaby.
