Popular Post SallyCinnamon
They’re still quite a way ahead of us on and off the pitch. We had the chance when Chansiri first arrived to run the club properly and become the better club in the city while they were struggling in League One. We absolutely squandered it with awful mismanagement. 14

Bog Roll Prince and boardroom, putting parachute payments up front, squandering millions in transfer market. They had 2 big chances to properly go ahead of us. First in 06/07 but they got relegated and sacked Warnock. Then in second season in last PL spell they were an embarassment. They are hardly running away with things in an awful championship.

Hate to be a realist, but at least they got to the Premier League. First season they did very well. 22 years and counting for us now? We’re miles off it. They did waste a lot of money in that 2nd season under Wilder. But it can’t have been that catastrophic as they look favourites for promotion back up there after just two seasons out. Looks like they also have a young striker who could fetch them millions and millions. Chansiri has a long way to go of winning me over for what he’s done to Wednesday. We are genuinely second fiddle in this city now.

We are genuinely second fiddle in this city now. So what if they got there tbh. They did ok first season but it all blew up the second season and broke unwanted records. No glory in that. And with how the Championship is this season no one is favourites right now. The idea we are 2nd fiddle is defeatist nonsense. By this time next season we could easily be above them in the league. All it takes is us to go up and them have a normal playoff campaign. Ask a Pig pre Wilder if PL was realistic... football changes very quickly.

Django
They didn’t overtake us, we reversed behind them In the last 30 years Sheffield United have always done what they have always done, hovered about the 2nd tier with the odd season in the top flight which always ends in tears Granted we’ve been absolutely sheiiite since 99, due to catastrophic management, but the core support remains as good as ever. When we eventually get going again (which we will) they’ll still be in their eternal loop and hopefully we’ll be back to stay Edited November 6, 2022 by Django
