Holmowl
We had to bring NML on. We were 20 minutes away from going out with a whimper. He was really poor. He contributed to their goal. But it was right to bring him on.

Storey had no chance against Clarke NML was lazy AF but I don’t think he would have made any difference if he bust a gut - should he should have passed to Byers but giving the ball away on the edge of the opposite box is hardly a crime Palmer failed to do his job

That happens 20 times a game - the error was Palmers he had the full picture in front of him and went to sleep again. Clarke walked past the entire team at one point tonight - class player!

That’s equivalent to saying that the Sunderland player at fault for our goal was the defender nearest Gregory, rather than Roberts. It really wasn’t down to Palmer. At worst it was a collective disaster between NML, Storey and Palmer.

He is not good enough. Yes two goals and two assists in 12 starts and 6 subs. Had good games against Plymouth and Ipswich gave the squad a little boost when he came in. Has never see like his heart is in it to be honest. Doesn't fit the system and was at fault for the goal. Be one of those players you forgot played for us in 10 years time. Two bad moments if anything Byers not playing NML in was worse but yet it's other one people pile on. We have a similar issue with Dunkley who gets more greif than he deserves. Be one of those players you forgot played for us in 10 years time. Problem he had was he was by far better as LWB that anywhere else but Johnson's form kept him out. He worked well on that side as could cut in on strongest foot to shoot and good enough on left side to put decent delivery in. Also playing left he usually had Palmer behind (a full back) to cover for him. If we could keep him he'd be perfect for left wing in a 4-2-3-
0114
He’s a player I wouldn’t mind us moving on. He just doesn’t fit in a 352/532 He’s a winger. Always has been, always will be. Not been too impressed with him since the January extension debacle. He did ok in spells but shoe horning him into the team as WB or ST just hadn’t worked. One thing we need to do next season is recruit players that fit into the style and system we play. NML doesn’t do that.

Thought this was the new lyrics to 'we're sheffield wedneday we're on our way back' at first! But in his defence, square pegs round holes AGAIN. A winger playing wing back, a full back playing left centre back when we had Dunkley on the bench. NML might have been lazy getting back in, but playing wingers at wing back you run the risk of that happening. Their mindset is attacking, taking players on and crossing the ball. Not chasing opposition wingers into the corner. He has my sympathy at been played out of position, but when you sign a bucket load of wingers i suppose they're going to be playing out of position in a wing back system
