What could Moore take from tonight in terms of the first team season??

Tonight's starting line up told me that Gregory and Kamberi will quite rightly keep their places and start the game on Saturday. Josh Windass will soon be back to full fitness and that leaves one of either Sow or Berahino from tonight's front two, fighting for the bench.

Tonight should be clear to Moore who will be better use for the first team. Both scored but only one moved about, got in behind quite a few times and looked liked he could impact a league game for us with this type of movement (maybe as an impact sub when the game is stretched). That was Sow. Head and shoulders above Berahino. He may have scored the tap in due to Jack Hunt feeling very generous but his all round game was as shocking as ever. Sow deserves to be on the bench Saturday ahead of Berahino.

Massimo Luongo - What an improvement on Wing he will be if we can keep him fit. Luongo sitting with Bannan and Adrenian/FDB roaming or even the chance to drop Bannan and have Adrenian/FDB roaming with his protection. It allows us to keep Bannan on his toes more which can only be a good thing. Luongo has been out for so long I almost forgot how good he is. He is known for his tenacity but he is also a very good player, can see a pass and can also drive forward.

Hunt looks way off the pace. I cannot see him being here after his one year deal. Patterson has that spot in the league for now. I can see why Brown is not given loads of chances by Moore, looks erratic and suspect. Johnson better.

Wildsmith looking composed and good as ever with the ball at feet. Most of us won't be too concerned that BPF is away, a testament to Wildsmith as well as the erratic displays from BPF.

Brennan looks a real prospect. Let's get him tied down to a long deal and out to League 2 in Jan, if we get our CBs back.

I think they would be the things Moore would have seen from tonight.

The main one being Berahino is not good enough at all.

Waldock had a tidy game , always trying to go forward and not scared to put himself about

This is where Moore worries me, with Berahino, and the interest in Mendez-Lang, thinks he can turn around players with a history that we dont need, its more about commitment than talent at this level

Luongo and Byers are good options.

The two young lads at CB are at least half decent cover… especially as we have no one else.

Brown - not good - leave him out

Hunt - Gets himself all mixed up and gives the ball away… partly not his fault for having to attack and defend often.. and the system

Sow is OK…. Not sure if he’s a winger or a forward… seems like nice character but could probably be a bit more aggressive

Berahino… bench. Can’t hold the ball up much… not really his game.

Shodipo could probably look decent if he wasn’t a winger stuck on the half way line.

The formation and decision making of the players is often frustrating.

Moore could take a lesson or two from the opposing manager, who not only set his side up to attack, did so quite impressively on many occasions.

They walked through our midfield and defence like it was butter at times.

Did they have better players?  Or were they just encouraged to attack more, be more offensive?

Moore is a joke of a manager - we need someone forward thinking, may I suggest someone like Weaver?!

Today we won 4-0 but looked absolutely laboured for it.

Did that bloke on the Kop tell you to say that?

We took our chances tonight, they didn’t. That was the difference, but they were far better drilled than us and being honest they should have been out of site before Byers scored that header.

On a side note I really like Brennan, looks absolute quality

Yeah Brennan was a good point tonight.   I didn't see many others - our goals were rather pedestrian and against better opposition we'd have not got them.

I know we are struggling at CB right now, so maybe we can blood Brennan in against better opposition, but that's all I'd bring from tonight.  I was upset when  Berahino came off because he just needs minutes, and he's no better chance then like opposition like today.

I was upset when

would be a bit harsh to to moan about the young lads at the back, could have been nerves

berahino tho?, seriously shouldn't play in front of kamberi and gregory on current form, its bloody glaring

Without the reputation he looks like a trialist that's had one chance too many.

I liken Berahino to when we had spunked a lot of cash on Gerald Sibon, got relegated and he was struggling for form - we just had to play him to get something out of him.

I think Saido Berahino is a similar player - sure we haven't payed for him, but he has the ability, just not the confidence.

Usually a fan of Brown but looked way off the pace tonight.

The young ones looked raw, but have talent. Been put into the first team in a makeshift defense, without as much understanding to each others game probably didn't help. Wildsmith great shot stopper but maybe could have been more vocal with these guys and saved himself some work.

You can see what we've missed whilst Luongo has been out. Great battling midfielder who breaks up play, but also gets us going forward once he's won it. He allows other midfielders like Adeniran and Bannan to get further forward to cause issues.

Berahino really disappointed me tonight. This is the sort of game he could score a hatrick and show us why we brought him in, but he looked out of his depth even at that level. I hope he was just taking it easy, like a friendly game.

Shodipo doesn't bring the same directness as Corbeanu, but he's a winger and he got down the line and provided for 2 goals so you can't complain at what he provides. Decent crossing from both feet.
