I had that scarf but mine was yellow - and made of some sort of inflexible material that made it impossible to actually wear, it was more suited to protecting space shuttles on re-entry. 1

alanharper
^ Pretty much the same signatures as in my book. Back in the days when you could actually recognise most player's autographs!

The Hoppy Hopper
I will have a look in the cupboard next time I’m at my parents’ house to see what I’ve got. I’ve just ordered Our Lowest Ebb. The new one will be right up my street as I was just getting interested during that era.

Sefton owl
Is there any link to the ‘young owls’ football club that played in the sheffield and district league? Or was that essentially a feeder club to the academy?

Bearwood Owl1
More in my upcoming book on the Young Owls football teams But, yes they did play at a decent standard and had some good players especially in the early 90s. Nicky Weaver as a striker for example!

Loads of activities around the club and in the park, remember doing archery on the pitch once, culminating in being taken on a ground tour by the players at the end of the week. I had Snodin and Megson one time (must've been in 1986 not long before the semi because Megson showed me where the FA Cup would be going in the trophy cabinet, the liar). Then another time I remember walking around the side of the pitch deliberately kicking gravel at Larry May's stupid white slip on shoes.
