Burnley do have some history to them, albeit back in the black and white days.

Reading, Brentford, Fulham, Palace etc., have never won a thing.

I don't think we'll see Burnley back in the Premier League anytime soon. Just a hunch.

I would imagine Cornet and Weighorst will be off as well, they won't want Championship football. Tarkowski has had bids from Premier League clubs, and Dwight McNeil could fetch a few quid.

I agree.

Sounds like massive financial issues by going down.

Can see them going back to a middling Champ side.

Even though Leeds survived I’m happy the scouse scrubbers didn’t win the title

Beers tasting a little better tonight knowing they’re gutted

Now I need to support whoever it is they’re playing in the champions league final

Leeds may well struggle next season.

Stayed up by the skin of their teeth.

Think the opposite. We’ve seen what a banana skin that second season can be before (hilariously) but the financial windfall of staying up for a third is significant. I think they’ll go pretty hard in the summer.

Don’t fancy the 3 clubs coming up either (both Forest and Hudds would have work to do) and if one of them can stay up, I think it might be Southampton’s turn for the drop.

Yeah agree. With all their injuries and reliance on U23’s, Leeds have negotiated a possible disaster in avoiding relegation.

They’ll push on from here and become established as a mid table PL club.

Difference between may struggle and nailed on for relegation but fair enough.

They'll need to invest some decent cash this summer.

They managed to stay up at the expense of three other dismal teams and beat ten man Brentford.

Yea definatly they only stayed up because of how bad the other 3 were.

Another season of Leeds in the Prem. Horrible.

Yes, and I fear they may be there for some time now.

If they were going to go down it was while Bielsa was there and they were playing a brand of football they're not capable of.

If only they could have kept Bielsa for a couple more games...

It's a good job United got knocked out of the play-offs.

What a terrible end to the season.

I think Leeds will be okay

Played a lot of the season without a striker worthy of the name

The comedy defence will surely be rectified - and with the addition of some firepower i think they'll have enough to keep themselves in the PL

The other side of that coin is that if they did get relegated i expected they would a pretty formidable in the champs - and the more strong teams in the champs the better

We'll now find out how Burnley cope without the guy almost guaranteed to get them promoted - next manager is a big call for them

Like most teams already there, they are likely saved by the teams coming up.

Still - I think they need a significant overhaul to kick on and not find themselves struggling again.
