It's clear that some idiot has been watching owlstalk and listened to all the "we need pace" comments. Then someone at the club has fired up football manager and stuck 70-99 pace in the filter and totally forgot to set anything else.

“We need pace” is so last year.

”We need someone who can run in behind” is the OT new phrase.

Whereas, what we actually really really need, are goal-scorers.

I may have been too generous in my pre-season assessment...

Whenever I've seen him play, he always looks quite dangerous but then...isn't.

He hasn't even looked quite dangerous for us so far!

Perhaps playing wide in Moore's 4-2-3-1 might suit him a bit better?

People said the same about Da Cruz, another waste of a shirt.

So many fans get carried away with a bit of pace.

Da Cruz and Kachunga - 1650 minutes for the Owls. Not one goal between them.

Only we could give a signing an underwhelming assessment and then have him proceed to be even more underwhelming.........

I thought he was tall when he played for Huddersfield so I was quite surprised when he arrived here and it turned out he's a midget.

Still,  he's surprisingly good in the air small person. I think he must have discovered Danny Wilson's customised spring-heeled boots in a cupboard somewhere.

I've a sensation in the bean he might start today. Don't know why.

If we start him out wide, we might yet start to see something from him.

Maybe.

Hope something clicks. Sometimes players just do under a new manager.

Mind you, most of these are on their 4th gaffer of the season! 😂

I honestly really hate to do this but his signing is an indication of where this club has been steered from the top

Kachunga was one of a clutch of desperate signings made in a desperate time

It's not his fault - he's just been signed for a club that's in dire times because we can't afford anyone/else

Yep

He met three of our most important criteria for the last 12 months recruitment.

Sadly he couldn't meet all 5 otherwise we would have got a right bargain.

Out of contract.                                                                                        Yes

No current club/ Unwanted by his current club                                  Yes

Coming back from serious injury.                                                          No

Currently got a broken leg.                                                                      No

Signed with no regard as to where he fits in.                                      Yes

I said at the time, it was a terrible signing and I’ve been proved right on this one. Terrible, basic footballer who’s past it.

We've been waiting for someone to come steaming in two-footed and take one for the team.

That'll do it.

He'll bag a hat-trick today now.

:duntmatter:

I like him. Full of energy, selfless, a team player, puts himself about.

Just a shame he's crap really.

That sounds like Paterson. That'd be a decent exercise, actually- write a one sentence pen-picture and then guess which squad member it's about.
