Popular Post Lord Snooty
Shaw - I'm disappointed with the challenge. It's a reckless challenge. Whether he's played the ball or not, in the modern game today you can't go in that strongly because it puts the referee under enormous pressure to make decisions. 11 men - Up to that point I thought we'd coped very well. And we looked to break out, not as well as I would have liked us to have done. But there was times we did. Like the goal. The Goal - Very worked goal. Great header. Great delivery from a great pass. Was a first class goal. Their goal - Poor, poor marking from our point of view. Half time - Gave me time to change things around and put certain things in place that I've done before in my career when you go down (to ten) and playing eleven men. Penalty Claims- We were a bit fortunate. They could have had two penalties, and you need a little bit of good fortune. Overall - I think because of the effort the lads have deserved it tonight. I think everyone who is a Sheffield Wednesday supporter, inside the City outside the City should be really really proud of the effort they've put in. Spirit - There's good spirit in the dressing room. We've tried to pull them all together. We've done certain things as a group, together to lift everybody and bring the players together as a group , and they've responded and shown today on the pitch that that spirit is there. They really are smashing. A great group...good lads. Maybe actually lacking that little bit of..spice. (wry smile) Christmas- We need to get through Christmas picking up as many points as we can and then improve the group in areas where we need to improve it. 15

Lord Snooty
A wise old head doesn't feel the need to prove himself like some of the younger managers. He's been around long enough to be able to demand a certain level of commitment while understanding that you can't make it a prison camp or the mood dies. I'm very optimistic that he will pull us out of the mire. If the chaps can try and make sure they all stay on the pitch that might make his job a wee bit easier too!
daleblue
I like him, but I like all our Managers, but I like him better, not better than all but definitely better than the last one.

Well one thing is for sure. When the Chairman said he didn't want a yes man for his manager and wanted someone who'd tell him what was needed he certainly seems to have got one. He's been on about the striking department since the day he walked in the door. I think that message will be getting through.

legendaryswan
Unreal to think just 5 years ago we had an expansive team that was lauded country wide and lacked two maybe 3 positions to a sunday league side, its like the whole club jumped off a cliff

CircleSeven
I understand the view of those who didn’t want him here and maybe never will. But for me I have been won over by Tony. He is what the club needs. Someone who has done this many times over. Many people (me included) think we would have lost last night under Monk. That is easy to say but difficult to prove but for me it’s based on what Pulis does that Monk never managed- to make the changes needed based on his experience of what would work. He did it last night, he did it against Swansea. Hopefully he will do it in January! Also not a sniff, not even a tiny whiff of BullShiz about the man. Ultimately that is what will win a lot of Sheffield people over!
CircleSeven
Parlay vs. parley To parlay is (1) to place a bet as part of a series of bets using cumulative winnings; (2) more simply, just to bet; or (3) to maneuver something of advantage to receive something else of much greater value. To parley is to have a discussion, especially one between enemies or opposing sides. Both words also have corresponding noun senses: a parlay is a bet, and a parley is a discussion.

No more ‘hard work and commitment will turn the corner’ BS. He knows what we lack. And will be trying his best to get it! Good luck telling him ‘no- you can’t have it’ as well!
