Negative posts are starting to overwhelm Owlstalk again.

Come up with one soon recruiters please.

This right here .. those that post doom and gloom really don’t get how it affects the entire fan base collectively .. negativity is a disease

They're not at all

A tiny teeny weeny minority are crying like babies because Chansiri hasn't sacked Monk yet, but they're not overwhelming anything or anyone - they're just being proven incorrect with their mad statements, their crazy stats and their views using selective parts of Monk's career/season

lol

Look if your going to be admin, you have to speak your mind, this beating about the bush is no good...!

It's ok mate - I've heard he's going to skateboard into press conferences doing jazz hands from now on so you can be more impressed with him

So why are you so pro-Monk, when you've been so anti-Carvalhal.  What's Monk done for us- or anyone?

I know who I'd sooner have as manager, and it isn't Monk.

Maybe not just the fan base, who knows? Players can be curious about how the fans are reacting,..maybe have a look?

"He has just told me to work hard every day, even if I am coming in and I am not feeling the best and getting little niggles. He wants me to work hard and be competing."

Is it just me that's wortied by this or does anyone else think we may have a promble?

Yeah cos all those other managers had...

1) The success of the first half of the season that Monk did
2) Most of the first team players contracts coming to an end
3) Steven Fletcher getting injured
4) Covid kicking in around March
5) The number of injuries in the first team
6) Not having his own management/coaching structure

7) Having more first team masseurs than first team coaches
8 ) The overhanging EFL charge meaning the club could be relegated
9) The club's finances being called into question
10)  Games coming every other day due to Covid meaning no real coaching could take place
11) Westwood deciding he was 'injured' again and the replacement keepers being really weak
12) The EFL Hearing
13) Fletcher and Fox clearing off - arguably our two strongest players

Of course it's perfectly sane, rational and fair to compare Monk's win rate to that of Ron Atkinson, Harry Catterick and Alan Brown though..

That's totally reasonable...

lol

You might have mentioned that he signed his first player this month, not a loan, not a new contract

His first real signing in his second season at the club

I dont think those comments are so much a positive on Monk so much as a he has not had a chance and he knows given our situation and that Monk is targeting young players that even if he screws up a few times he will still be played here as we have nobody else.

Basically better than being a number 2 which he probably would be at most other clubs at this level.

"I know he likes playing young, hungry players and I felt like I fell into that dynamic."

Seems like some are opting to ignore this because hahaha Monk is crap, what CV innit etc...

If this is a common thought among young players, it could be a big plus for the situation we are in

How do you know he's not an owl if you're not an Inspector?

It's because I don't live in Yorkshire any longer!

He's a witch, burn him!

We would need to be signing players like Messi every day to stop that.

Im pro-common sense

Monk isn't bobbar, and neither is Carvalhal.

I guess they're middling/average.

The problem is that in our predicament such managers are not sufficient.

The reason why I'm doom and gloom is that we'd probably need a Colin to keep us up.

In other words, a tip-top manager at this level with years of experience to draw on.

Anaemicus simply isn't at that level.
