Owl Rly
That was a good game, at least. Glad Brentford did it! Was just reading ahead of the game that the front trio of Benrahma, Mbuemo and Watkins have 57 goals between them... insane

Rogers
Nice result to end their days at Griffin Park, gets them to Wembley and a shot at the big time. Timing would be amazing for them, new stadium and premier league.
sheriwozgod
At the risk of being accused of "noshing off " Brentford again , that is what PROPER recruitment can get ya.
StudentOwl
If you compare Brentford's last 5 years to our last 5 years, it actually shows just how far behind we are. Like, so so far behind. Embarrassingly so for a club of our stature... then again, a couple more years languishing like we are and I'm not sure we can say that any more... Even if Brentford lose the final and have effectively achieved exactly what we did, the difference in trajectories is frightening... and sad really. Sigh. Gonna be all mopey today.
oldishowl
I think he said last night that Brentford have been in playoffs 9 times and never got promoted through them. Is that right, heck of a record?
Roscoe P. Coltrane
Fair play to them Properly run football club.

Putney
Fulham's league record against Brentford is really bad but you never know in a winner takes all playoff final. If Fulham don't win tonight then will be cheering on Cardiff on Tuesday, but not watching.

EighteenSixty7
Cant see Cardiff doing anything tonight so it may be a bit of a dead rubber. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Just don't think they've got the quality to turn this one around. Could be wrong, but I don't see it. As we saw last night, there's a fair old gap between those who were pushing for the autos and those who managed to arrive late into the top 6. Brentford and Fulham are technically on a different level to Cardiff and Swansea, particularly the former. Edited July 30, 2020 by SiJ

Whitechapel Owl
Reyt game, Cardiff unfortunate not to level it up in the end, Fulham had plenty of chances as well though. Hoping Brentford win the final.
