Fernando Forestieri has heard nothing from the club

Forestieri hasn’t heard from the club about a new contract.

He hasn’t even been asked about extending his contract to play the rest of the fixtures this season

Joe Crann from The Star has an exclusive on this today where he has spoken to the players agents:

Cominelli explained, “Fernando has been working hard, he’s ready, he’s available and wants to play if he’s selected. But there’s been no word from the club about anything beyond June 30th when his contract expires, so he will be free on July 1st after the first two games of the restart.”

So as it stands Forestieri is a free agent after the next two games, and his contract will come to an end with his last game being the Bristol City game.

Unless the club offers him an extension asap he will only be able to play two of the upcoming games

Great scoop by Joe though. We'll done

He comes across as a very good journalist but I suspect after covering us for the star for a few months, he’ll be wishing he stayed at Soccer Laduma? 😂

Why are we a shambles for not contacting a player to renew a contract we don't want to renew? Why can't people accept FF's goose is cooked here?

Come on, this is an agent talking and people immediately believe his spiel and use it as a stick to beat the club with?  😄

Yes incredible work from the players agent - to tell lies about the club hes hoping to secure a contract from

Unfortunately some of our fans become starstruck with a few good performances here and there always looking backwards instead of forwards.

It's not about being starstruck but who are we going to get in on a free for less wages who is better? We could maintain his contract and not fall foul of ffp whilst still having a player on our books who has the potential to to be the best in the division at creating something from nothing.

But yeah everyone be happy that we renew pelupessys contract and yet a player who can affect a game goes away for nothing. Zero. Diddly squat.

That's why we're a shambles.
