It was Michael Robinson, straight from the kick off.
vulva
Yes. Biggest crowd I’ve been in at Hillsborough. Also recall the Burnley QF a few years earlier. Similar atmosphere.

Great night. At nil-nil at Anfield we had a gilt-edged chance early on. Bannister (I think) couldn’t get his feet sorted from close range.

Which is why it was their striker going in on our CB, not midfielder Souness. Think people get it mixed up with the time Souness crippled Siggi Jonsson in an international game. Bulldog
We were on the leppings lane end near the front. When they got the "dodgy" pen, me and my mates were screaming every profanity possible at the ref. Cue a burly copper who came straight up to us, expecting a telling off, he looked at us and said " What the f**k has he given that for?" 1

Yes it was Robinson as Alan Smith the physio tells the story in a Quarter of Wednesday Lyons demanded to be stitched up in the tunnel rather than the dressing room as it would save time. Robinson thought that was the last he would see of Lyons but was disappointed when Smith beckoned to the ref, Lyons emerged from the tunnel like a gladiator. I was on Leppings Lane that night with my dad and it took about 25 minutes until we reached a position where I could see anything.
