SiJ
Lee is the best RB at the club. I mean, aside from the fact that he hasn't played RB in about 7 years, he is, without quesiton, the best RB at the club. Yep, best at the club, no doubt.
shezzas left peg
I think monk has assessed Lee and knows he's not quite up to speed just yet, probably mentally struggling to push himself in fear of a bad reaction either aggravating the old one or picking up another injury.. So he's easing him back a bit more gently, and hopefully we'll see a bit more of the old Lee around Christmas time getting himself into the box and on the end of things like he used to be very good at, sometimes it takes time. I missed 5 years of both football and rugby after my major injury, the doc's /specialist said I wouldn't play again. Took about half a season to get the real confidence in my body to properly commit into tackles hard and push the old engine.

oldishowl
Lee started the season well for someone out so long. However against Preston he seemed to be holding his back after about 15 mins but stayed on. Not played much since then apart from the start against Fulham where he did ok without really starring. It will be interesting to see who partners Bannan tomorrow.
matthefish2002
Think you can't make a proper judgement on Lee until after Christmas. If he ever backs back to standards of a few years ago might need a full season under his belt.

sMacLean
Lee is a great squad player but looks out of date in the league now certainly as a starter. Championship has moved on so much even in the last few seasons.

If Lee isn't as up to it as he was ( and we don't know for sure that's the case), it isn't because the league has moved on- it's because Lee has lost a bit of his edge though being out so long. The quality of the championship teams this year are much of a muchness and it isnt all that. Not as good as previous years. We are a par club from what I can see. About the same as 10 others. james o connor
31 with numerous injuries that have ravaged him . Alright as back up like pelupessy but nowhere near good enough for a regular slot
McRightSide
Surely we have to see him play regularly before we can judge...

Perhaps we should be looking at younger , fitter players in the up . Fine for this season as an option but I’m sure monk is aware there is still more to clear out . He'd never played midfield before we converted him so 7 years not an issue. As Carlos said, Man U / Fergie trained. Plus, the statue in Fitzalen Square 'd defend better than our current right back - see goals conceded this season. And right back needs much left energy than midfield. Get him in , to bomb up right and help Murphy too.

SiJ
Great player, but I fear age and injuries might have caught up with him. Be delighted if I'm wrong, as he is my favourite player at the club right now.
