Good striker required

Recommended Posts

We are lacking a top/good striker.

Dont get me wrong I like Fletcher, but hes nita 20+ goal a season man, which is what u usually need to get promoted.

Rhodes is a has been. Win all is just ignored for some strange reason.

We've got the ammunition now, just need someone to pull the trigger.

Don't think we had any 'clear cut' chances today. Just half sniffs.

Think probably the best one was the header that Rhodes directed just wide as their defenders attempted to rip his shirt off him.

It was a penalty but not a mention.

Who's this man mountain? Everton? Before my time.

He looks more like a prop forward than a centre forward.

That young man is Robert Latchford

"Bob" as was better known

Ate Housebricks for breakfast without any milk .....

Unfortunately like most of this ilk his knees gave way too often ...

On modern pitches today he would have ripped new ones every week

I’d give Rhodes the rest of the month. If he’s still looking tame then we should definitely start chucking Winnall on the bench in his place.

Feel like Winnall plays with the aggression and guile that Fletcher offers, so he’d be a good sub for when Fletch is tiring.

The none use of Atdhe in a game like today is a worry. After the first hour we were crying out for a player of his ilk. He’s only worth having if the manager can identify moments like today when he’d be most effective.

9 men behind the ball are not ideal conditions

Agreed he shouldn’t have come on

Two fast wide men, playing next to a big centre forward, against 10 men while having 78% possession is no place for Rhodes

Bob Latchford . Proper old fashioned centre forward. Used to bulldoze through centre halves like they wernt there.
