Have to say Ive watched more Champions league football than ever over the last 2-3years and its produced some of the best, most exciting, dramatic and breath taking football Ive watched in my life. The simple fact Ajax, Spurs etc made the last 4 shows its not a closed shop. Yes the top teams dominate but in my opinion its a very rewarding competition for any neutral fans. 

 

The best quality football you can watch right now is the knock-out stages of the Champions League.  Love it.

Probably the last person to realise this but just noticed that the Benfica manager is Bruno Lage who was assistant to Carlos at Wednesday. Benfica currently playing Rio Ave which is Carlos’s team. Probably his last game in charge of them. Crazy that Lage has such a big club to manage!

Yeah he went to manage their B team after Carlos left Swansea, ended up being parachuted into the top and did really well to get them over the line in the title race last year. Looks set to win it again this season - 15 wins from 16 games in the league so far.
