SYP The force should have been disbanded years ago. Could be wrong but the way this has all panned out looks like a number of people complained about policing during the derby game and the SYP response is to deflect blame to the club. Shameful if true 100 spot on. SYP are currupt to the core , have been for decades.

Marpals
1 hour ago, Ian said: What a load of rubbish.....the concourse at the Leppings Lane end is massive.....one of the biggest in the Country and definitely the biggest at our ground......there is a large space between the turnstiles and the actual stand....even larger outside between the turnstiles and the road and at appropriate times you’ve got the entirety of Leppings Lane which is closed to traffic compare this to the other two two main entrance points of a narrow bridge to the centre of the South stand and a busy dual carriageway which isn’t closed to traffic and the Kop end, with no meaningful concourse once inside and you have to come to the conclusion that anyone who thinks we need a larger concourse at the Leppings Lane end is either doing crack on a regular basis or needs committing....and yes that includes SYP and SAG out of interest, have you ever been to Hillsborough? LL Should still have been demolished though.
alan smiths sponge
I’m sure our good friends over at S2 will chip in with a fair few thousand as they seem to get same treatment. Good to come together on this one

Leaping Lannys Perm
The amount of police corruption and botching of major cases that go on up and down the country has long been staggering. But Commissioners rarely, if ever, get removed. Can't see a minor football policing issue (in the big scheme of things) making the difference. Having said that, I'd of course sign any petition on the subject that gets started.

DeeJayOne
6 hours ago, RichSheffWeds said: This guy on paper is highly influential. If there was a petition signed by 20-30,000 people calling for his immediate removal as South Yorkshire police commissioner it would stir up a lot of attention to the process used by SYP in influencing SAG. Something like : “I call for the immediate removal of Alan Billings as South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner following action by South Yorkshire Police to prepare a report on fans leaving Leppings Lane area of Sheffield Wednesday football ground. The Club knew nothing about this report and was offered no input. It has resulted in future capacity restrictions and limiting of fan movements when leaving the stadium. Whilst policing of Leppings Lane is a sensitive issue, fans have LEFT this area of the ground for decades with minimal issues. I call upon the restrictions to be lifted immediately and reviewed again when all parties have been able to present independent evidence. If Mr Billings does not take action in this regard he should be removed immediately from his role.” We can influence this process through democratic means like petitions. Sometimes action like this is the only way to help shine a light on unreasonable decisions like the restrictions the club currently face. Worth considering? Billings is pretty useless, as we've seen with the trees debacle in Sheffield. That said, has Billings had an input into the current situation? I'm not sure he has as yet? The PCC is largely a reactive role - not a pro-active one (isn't he still a priest too?). People would need to draw his attention to the situation and ask for him to look into it in the first instance... so get writing to him. Contact methods: Telephone: 0114 296 4150 Email: info@southyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner South Yorkshire Police HQ Ground Floor Carbrook House Carbrook Hall Road Sheffield South Yorkshire S9 2EH There's a contact form here: https://southyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk/contact/ Be polite, reasonable and good-natured though. It will only represent badly and won't help the cause if idiot fans start swearing and abusing people. THEN, when people get a reply from Billings we can work out what to do from there (there are formal complaints processes, even for the PCC). 1 SHEFFIELD SHOP

This decision is sheer madness based upon the views of an unqualified bloke who has watched a video and visited the ground once. It’s bloody crackers. The only way is S6
I'd sign it but still feel it's a little bit 'now let me tell you this Wycombe' Direct action trumps (ironically) the written word these days. Be far more effective meeting at the LL concourse en masse. Particularly today. Or future home games. All armed with a tray of chips & curry.
