Then maybe it’s a case of them saying we will sign one of your players on top of the compensation they are willing to pay (they would know the asking price and whether there is any interest and whether we really need to sell). If we say no or Bruce doesn’t go there, then they wouldn’t be interested and we’d still need to sell someone. Youd like to think it would be a significant top up on any compensation payment though!
