I look at that and don`t know whether to laugh or cry , could some of them be playing ?, yes I am sure they could so just remember when the financial pigeons come home to roost at the end of the season just how much this lot are costing...……..and also remember our line up tonight that shipped 3 goals to QPR after more than £40 M spent...………………….now that DOES make me want to weep..

Thats just this season. Id still like to know what emanuelson cost us for a year of not playing. We have a habit of weeing money up the wall for no reason. Of course our selling acumen makes up for it.

People joke about Hooper playing golf, but hasn’t he got a hip injury?

 

I’m no physio but I struggle to see how golf can benefit such an injury.

My take (see above).

 

Matias and FF the biggies we are missing and have shown why THIS season.

 

Van Aken and Winnall still to be involved.

 

Lee is badly missed and really hope he can get back but looking very iffy.

 

Was hoping for Hooper but starting to look unlikely with latest news.

 

Don't think the rest are part of the plans for a number of reasons and those seen this season have shown little.

 

This is only what we see which is much less than Jos sees day to day etc.

 

Bit misleading as an 11 tbh but hey ho!

Hip's fixed, latest is groin I believe.

 

Def had a hernia op after deal to Derby fell through last January.

agree     IMO injured players (draining the club finances) earning a fortune whilst injured should not be allowed to do anything not sanctioned by the physio that could aggravate said injury

Wasn’t it his hip injury that he went off with against Forest and injured him for January?

 

Also hadn’t heard anything about a derby offer for him. Would have been staggered if we’d sold him to them

It was a done deal.

 

Had hernia op shortly after and reading between the lines I think that he too had maybe got used to a looser arrangement for training etc under CC.

Next summer will be a breath of fresh air seeing all the injured crocks leave. If Rhodes keeps doing well for Norwich hopefully they'll buy him.

We simply need to support what we've got, the youngsters and the ones who've shown they can be bothered.

 

I've no doubt we'd have got shut and brought more new faces in if there wasn't the embargo and I can see why there is a policy both re. morale and finacially to cast aside some of our bad apples in the short-term.

 

Short-term pain under difficult conditions and not doing bad at all really.

 

Suck it up, get behind 'em for now and let's look to bounce back this weekend.

 

It's football, there's far more important stuff to scream and cry about tbh.

Two observations-- Van Aken was injured badly at Sunderland . Has the absence of such as Westwood and Hutch been down to agents deals with club for appearances to the agents , I`m struggling to think of another reason .

That is the big worry. Therefore maybe we should show a bit of patience to the likes of Dawson, Penney, Baker and co? They will be needed next season big time, so we may as well give them this season to build up experience.

 

Lets face it bringing Westwood back is simply not going to turn us from a mid table side to a promotion side.

Absolutely right.

 

We've got a first team squad supplemented with kids, loanees and reserve team players.

We don't know why certain players have been dozen out - could be money; more likely given JL's reputation that it's down to attitude.

For years we bemoaned the fact that Utd's Shirecliffe production line was rolling out players that got in their first team; now ours does it too many people are getting in their backs.

 

Penney wasn't great v Boro, Baker has struggled etc but they're young kids learning their trade.

 

Not so long ago Brunt and Whelan were getting slagged off and both went on to have decent careers in the Prem.

On that list 6 are defiantly injured. Of the others 

Westwood. Sick of hearing about it. Jos ain't playing him. 

Jones. Possibly on the bench at a push

Boyd. Waste of space

Hutch. Not sure if injured but would defintely start

Abdi. Hahaha your havin a laugh. 

 

So that's just hutch a starter and he's more than likely injured.

Yes but it's very short-term versus the longer term/future.

 

Nobody knows what has happened in detail but it would have to be pretty much guaranteed improvement and immediately against damaging anything that may have been built since his arrival and decisions made and taken.

 

Let's be honest, Hutch's contribution is more to do with very fond memories rather than anything done in more recent times.
